Today the 8th team confirmed their participation, the dutch traditional baseball club: Weert Indians. In 2004, when Jesse La Casse for the A's broke the All-Time Home-Run Record at the Home-Run derby (13 HR), the Indians made a perfect debut and finished on the strong 3rd place. In 2007 they came back with their already legendary Dutch Caribbean Brass Band and won it all with only 5 runs allowed in 4 games. With the Netherlands as our next nation we already have 8 teams from 7 different nations and Finkstonball XII is only one other nation shy of the record. So keep your confirmations coming. |

| 13.01.2009 | The legacy of the Outlaws |
We are very happy to present you a team from a nation, which hasn't participated since 2002: France. In 2002 the Strasbourg Outlaws finished at the 10th place, in a very crowded tournament, which was won by Vindija Varazdin and just yesterday the Bootleggers Baseball Club Argancy confirmed their participation for Finkstonball XII.

| 13.01.2009 | New team - new nation! |
We proudly announce, that for the first time in the 12 year history of Finkstonball a British team signed up. The Northern Knights, which were founded in 2007, led by Great Britans All-Time Home-Run leader, Ray Brownlie are the first new-comers of the year. The Northern Knights are players from Northern England and Scotland that use league players to play in tournaments domestically and in Europe. They also bring CEB umpire Thomas Haywood, who will be probably joined by other CEB umps.

| 12.01.2009 | First teams signed up! |
Dear friends of Finkstonball Baseballtournament! This week the preparations for the 12th Finkstonball Tournament started. The tournament is scheduled from May 29th till June 1st (FRI-MON). Yesterday the first invitations have been sent to our baseball friends all over Europe. Today the Schwechat Blue Bats (AUT), Kranjski Lisjaki (SLO), Bad Homburg Hornets (GER) and Hluboka Cardinals (CZE) already confirmed participation. If your team is interested to join the tournament, be fast before all spots are full. All necessary information can be found in the tournament invitation in the download section. The preparations for the 2009 Finkstonball tournament are under full progress. The Athletic's executive board recently appointed Julia Foseteder as new tournament manager for the 2009 and following Finkstonball tournaments.
